As a reminder, this course DOES NOT recertify your American Heart Association BLS Provider certification - or your Heartsaver Total First Aid CPR AED Provider certification.
What to do prior to the class
1. Have a current AHA provider card in the discipline you want to teach - BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED
2. Complete an Instructor Essentials course in the discipline(s) you want to teach. If you wish to teach Heartsaver, you must complete both the BLS and the Heartsaver Instructor Essentials.

1. BLS - Use this link https://elearning.heart.org/course/801 to purchase and complete the Instructor Essentials course. Make sure to print off your certificate of completion.
2. Heartsaver - Use this link https://elearning.heart.org/course/802 to purchase and complete the Instructor Essentials course. Make sure to print off your certificate of completion.

Instructor Manuals
1. Please bring the instructor manual in the discipline(s) that you wish to teach. They can be purchased online at https://shopcpr.heart.org/product-type/instructor-materials
Where to Go
- Park in the Sullivan Center parking lot directly north of the Mercy College main building. If that lot is full, there is a large parking lot available immediately to the west at the corner of Crocker St. and 7th.
- Use the crosswalk on 6th to come to the College Hill/Academic Center for Excellence building at 921 6th Ave. There is available parking in this lot for persons with disabilities. Otherwise, be aware that it is a tow zone.
- The entrance you will use is the South Entrance, which is the lower level adjacent to Crocker St.
- If you’re more than five minutes early, you might not be able to get in. So hang tight!
